¡Vamos Habla! is a revolutionary online Spanish course that aims to teach adults how to speak Spanish in 10 lessons. Taught by a native speaking teacher, the course is structured in a way that the student learns both vocabulary and grammar in a very efficient way.
The Concept
The design journey started with the creation of our logo, drawing inspiration from the iconic inverted exclamation point (¡) - a hallmark of the Spanish language. Transforming this symbol into a person engaged in speech, I encapsulated the words within speech bubbles, echoing the course’s mantra, ‘let’s speak!’. The angular design of the bubbles subtly merges with the selected typeface, creating a cohesive visual identity. Various iterations of the logo, including horizontal, vertical, and logomark forms, were meticulously crafted to ensure versatility.
The Illustrations
Additionally, the project involved crafting flat character illustrations, employing the brand’s warm, inviting, and vibrant color palette. These illustrations serve as visual aids within course materials and stationery, enhancing the learning experience. To tie everything together, we developed the brand’s official pattern, adding a final touch of cohesion to the project.
Type and Color
A warm an vibrant color palette, including green, orange and yellow tones, is inspired by the color palette of the Spanish flag and the saturated colors in patterns and architecture of other Spanish speaking countries.
A combination of a funky fun heading font, and a legible clean font, allow the brand to be able to use their fonts in every possible scenario.
